Organic Press is a small publishing company, specialized in publications about growing cannabis, the policy and the public discussion about it.
The first edition from Organic Press dates back to 1993: ‘Sinsemilla sous Lumière Artificielle’, a French book for novice cannabis growers. Followed by translations of the same book in German, Dutch, English, Spanish and Italian. Meanwhile, some of these publications had some 2nd and 3th editions, with expansions, and is eagerly read and used in different language areas.
In 2003 Organic Press released a Dutch guide for growing cannabis outdoors: 'Cannabis sativa L. Buiten'. This publication is also available in German and French.
But that's not all. Organic Press wants to be explicitly involved in the debate on the policy on cannabis and the social and political discord in this matter. An example is our newest edition of Deborah Bruin: ‘Onkruid vergaat niet’(‘Weed does not perish’), in which the criminal law and administrative history on the coffeeshop policy in the Netherlands is described.
With our publications, we focus primarily on the European market. We are based in the Netherlands, where the traditional freedom of the press has always given high priority. Therefore we are interested in manuscripts on related subjects that fit within our philosophy. One example is our publication ‘Nachtschaden’(‘Solanaceae’), written by Brian Twint, a book on psychoactive plants.
If you think you can make a contribution, and you want to offer a manuscript, please contact us. We judge both content and technique. If we accept it in our vision, we will contact you and discuss the possibilities with you.
